Zoffany Colt Goes One Better For Watson

The Archie Watson-trained Rhubarb Bikini (2c Zoffany - Pearlitas Passion, by High Chaparral) built on a promising debut to win his second start at Lingfield on Saturday.

Second on debut in October, the Saxon Thoroughbreds-owned colt was sent off favourite for the mile contest under Hollie Doyle. Soon leading, the bay was shaken up approaching the two furlong marker and was ridden out to score by a length and a quarter.

There is more to come from the winner according to Hollie Doyle, who said after the race, “Rhubarb Bikini is still babyish but he's got a bit of scope about him.” The son of Zoffany was bred by M Enright out of Pearlitas Passion, whose yearling colt by Starspangledbanner sold for €150,000 earlier this year.
