Raging (Holy Roman Emperor) Wins The Seven Sisters Novice Stakes At Haydock

Future Looks Bright For Holy Roman Emperor Colt

The last three runnings of the Seven Sisters Novice Stakes has produced Stakes winners, which bodes well for Thursday’s winner, the Richard Hannon-trained Raging (2c Holy Roman Emperor - Polka Dot, by Galileo).

Racing over the minimum trip, the bay tracked the leaders under Thore Hammer Hansen and was pushed along approaching the final furlong. Digging deep when asked, he led from 110 yards out and kept on well to beat the favourite by half a length.

Owned by the Six ‘O’ One Syndicate, Raging showed great promise on debut last month when finishing a close second and followed up with a fine fourth at Bath. The son of Holy Roman Emperor was bred by S Sweeney out of a Galileo mare from the family of Designs On Rome (Holy Roman Emperor) and Romanised (Holy Roman Emperor).
