The Mo U No Another Impressive Winner For Uncle Mo

Finishing off a top day for Uncle Mo, The Mo U No (3g Uncle Mo x Zippity Goomba, by City Zip) lived up to his favoritism when romping home by 8 ½ lengths for owner-breeder Brittlyn Stable on Saturday night.

The Mo U No enjoyed the seven furlong affair on dirt under the lights in a Delta Downs allowance with Rigo Sarmiento aboard. The pair was happy to take a spot on the rail shadowing the leader for most of the race before finding a hole and shooting to the lead.

He left no doubt that he was going to win in the stretch, quickly pulling away in just a matter of strides and building the margin throughout the final stages. The 8 ½ length victory was the third top three finish in five starts for the Brittlyn Stable homebred.

The Mo U No is the first foal out of stakes placed Zippity Goomba, who has two winners from two to race. She is a half-sister to four other stakes horses and a granddaughter of two-time Grade I-placed Grand Girlfriend.

The Mo U No’s victory came just hours after Uncle Mo registered his eighth Grade I winner with Mo Forza becoming Uncle Mo’s second Grade I Hollywood Derby winner after Mo Town. Uncle Mo has now sired at least one Grade I winner in each of his first five crops of racing age.
