Party House (Camelot) Makes A Winning Debut At Naas

Well-Bred Camelot Filly Makes Winning Debut At Naas

Party House (3f Camelot - Crazy Volume, by Machiavellian) emerged as an exciting prospect when making a winning debut at Naas on Monday.

Trained by Ger Lyons for Varsfontein Stud’s John Kalmanson, the daughter of Camelot raced in midfield for much of the ten furlong fillies maiden and was asked to quicken from early in the straight. Pushed along from three furlongs out by Colin Keane, she was switched right entering the final furlong and despite showing signs of inexperience, ran on well to win by a length from The Blue Brilliant (Fastnet Rock).

A step up in class may now be on the cards for the winner, with assistant trainer Shane Lyons commenting, “Party House has shown us a nice bit at home. She won there over ten furlongs and will appreciate stepping up in time. She's as green as grass and should improve. Hopefully we will be hunting black type.”

Bred by Lynch Bages and Camas Park Stud, Party House is closely related to dual Group 1 winner Gallante (Montjeu) and Listed winner Silence Please (Gleneagles).
