Her World (Caravaggio) Wins Tyro Stakes at Monmouth Park

Caravaggio’s Her World Sells for $425,000

Only a few hips after Caravaggio’s half-sister sold for $600,000, Caravaggio’s own stakes winning daughter Her World was purchased by former co-owner Andrew Farm for $425,000 at this week’s Keeneland January Sale.

The fourth highest priced racing or broodmare prospect of the week, the 3-year-old Wesley Ward trainee impressed in her only start last year when beating the boys in the Tyros Stakes by an easy six lengths. Farm was part of a partnership that also included Susan Molton, For The People Racing Stable, and Windmill Manor Farm.

The filly is a half-sister to stakes winner and Group I-placed Consort and to the dam of stakes winner Never Back Down. Her dam has a 2-year-old No Nay Never three-quarter brother to Her World and a yearling filly by the same sire.

Caravaggio’s half-sister Susie’s Baby sold to Cypress Creek during the same session. The 10-year-old Giant’s Causeway mare is the dam of Uncle Mo’s stakes winning Family Way and American Pharoah’s winning Baby Blythe. She has a Justify 2-year-old filly and a yearling full sister to Family Way in the pipeline as well.

Caravaggio was a leading freshman sire last year and already has three winners in 2022, the most of any stallion in his class.
