Listed double for Mastercraftsman

Mastercraftsman enjoyed a cross-Channel black-type double on Saturday with Listed winners at both Lingfield in Britain and Lyon Parilly in France.

David Elsworth sent out Master The World (6g Mastercraftsman-Zadalla, by Zaha) to win a trappy renewal of the feature Listed Churchill Stakes at Lingfield.

“He is some horse - he does get a mile and a half and is effective at a mile as well,” said Elsworth. “We took him to Dubai last year, but they were quickening from the front after going no gallop and while he ran well he couldn't get to them. There are plenty of options for him, including back here on Good Friday. He has had a busy time with four races in four weeks.”

Master The World was bred by A Hanahoe.

Meanwhile, the John Hammond-trained Mint Julep (4f Mastercraftsman-Minted, by Mineshaft) ran out a runaway six-length winner of the Prix du Grand Camp at Lyon Parilly.

The four-year-old was bred by Team Hogdala.
