Requinto Bandwagon Rolls On

A great few days for Requinto continued in Rome on Tuesday when he was responsible for another first-time winner in Dovadola (2f Requinto-Proud Myth, by Mark Of Esteem).

The Goffs graduate, bred in Ireland by Kenneth O’Neill, took the six-furlong contest by three and a half lengths for trainers Alduino and Stefano Botti.

“The newcomer Dovadola strolled home becoming the second winner in Italy for the first season sire Requinto,” commented EBN.

Two days earlier Kevin Ryan sent out 200,000gns breeze-up purchase Broken Stones (2c Requinto-Positive Step, by Footstepsinthesand) to win a York novices’ contest on his debut.

Meanwhile, on Friday at the Goresbridge breeze-up sale, Qatar Racing paid €165,000 for a Requinto colt.
