Requinto off the mark

Exciting juvenile Requinto was represented by a classy-looking first-time winner in Milan on Sunday when Porta Nuova (2f Requinto-Samaden, by Ad Valorem) was successful.

Scuderia Incolix’s filly made up ground to win the five-furlong contest by a length and a half to the delight of connections.

Trainer Mico Borgato, of Il Cavallo In Testa, told EBN: “We were a bit worried about the soft ground, but the filly did her job like a true professional. She is a very precocious and speedy filly, as her pedigree suggests, and she won well."

Requinto, a G1-winning juvenile, is standing for €5,000 in 2016.
