War Command blueblood brings €300,000

An impeccably-bred member of War Command’s first crop was one of the first-day stars at the 2017 Goffs Orby Sale on Tuesday.

The half-sister to G2 Prix Ganay winner Cloth Of Stars was offered from Baroda & Colbinstown Studs and looked a classy prospect for both the racecourse, and eventually the breeding shed.

She caught the eye of Dermot Farrington who secured her with a €300,000 bid.

Another popular War Command was a colt out of the G3 Musidora Stakes runner-up Gold Bubbles, offered by Stanley Lodge for Tullpark Ltd. Mark Richards of the Hong Kong Jockey Club signed for him at €100,000.
