£115,000 Champs Elysees 3yo sold to go hurdling
Three-time Flat winner Hasanoanda (3g Champs Elysees-Indian Mystery, by Indian Ridge) was a hotly sought-after jumping prospect at the Goffs UK August Sale in Doncaster on Wednesday.
Trained by John Gosden, the Champs Elysees gelding scored over 1m 2f at Newmarket on July 28 and is now set to go hurdling with Ben Haslam after selling for £115,000.
“He has been bought for owner Derek Barclay and we will try the dual-purpose route to begin with,” said Haslam.
“I thought he proved he handled give in the ground last time at Newmarket and we will take him home and school him. I am delighted to have got him and looking at him he is still a frame of a horse, so there should be plenty of progress in him.”
