70th Stakes-Winner for Choisir

Australian bred filly Ma Choix (3f Choisir  x Moniette, by Montjeu) scored a dominant win in the Group III Victress Stakes at Kenilworth in South Africa on Saturday.

Trained by Yogas Govender, Ma Choix charged clear to win the 1800 metre contest by nearly four lengths beating older rivals and has now won five of 16 starts.

A $125,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the Kitchwin Hills draft, Ma Choix is the first winner for Moniette, a half-sister by Montjeu (IRE) to Group II winner Kapitain Kash and stakes-winner Dante’s Paradiso, also to the dam of international Group I winning sprinter Aerovelocity.

Ma Choix is the 70th stakes-winner for outstanding sire Choisir, who has 23 entries for the 2016 Magic Millions.
