Exciting young sire Competitive Edge posted another impressive debut winner this week when Reagan’s Edge (2f Competitive Edge x Dayienu, by Sunday Break) strolled home to win as she pleased at Indiana Grand.
Trained by Cherie DeVaux, Reagan’s Edge dominated her rivals to cruise home and win by nine lengths to become the 12th first crop winner for her sire.
A $77,000 OBS April 2YO Sale purchase for David Ingordo, Reagan’s Edge is the third winner from Dayienu, a grand-daughter of Grade III winner Savina.
A Grade I winning son of Super Saver, Competitive Edge is fast establishing himself as a leading first crop sire, his 12 winners including three stakes-winners Fierce Lady, My Italian Rabbi and Sassy Seneca.
