Attribution Another New Winner for Competitive Edge

Attribution (3g Competitive Edge x Hey Little Sister, by Jump Start) became the newest winner for Competitive Edge over the weekend with a victory over seven furlongs at Jebel Ali.

Racing on the dirt, Attribution broke a bit slowly but quickly jumped into stride and quickly put himself in striking range of the lead. With under two furlongs to go, Attribution joined into the battle for the win and dueled every step to the wire.

At the end, it was too close to call for the judges and Attribution earned his first victory in memorable style with a dead heat for trainer Salem bin Ghadayer.

Owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Attribution was a $180,000 OBS April 2-Year-Old graduate last season for his sire. Bred by Laura McKinney, the gelding is out of a half-sister to Listed winner Smoke It Right and from the family of Grade II winner Bachelor Blues. His dam Hey Little Sister has four winners from five to race and was bred by Mo Town last season.

Attribution was one of four winners from Competitive Edge over five days last week with the stallion also having two other top three placers in that period. A leading freshman sire last year, the value second crop stallion has sired 37 worldwide winners, including four stakes winners and six stakes horses overall.
