Auteuil Listed winner for Dylan Thomas
Progressive mare Bonne Eleve (7m Dylan Thomas-Behariya, by Sadler’s Wells) was sent off favourite for the Listed Prix Hardatit at Auteuil on Wednesday.
The daughter of Dylan Thomas returned from a long break to win on her comeback at Auteuil the previous month and she looks better than ever after this hurdles victory.
She faced 15 rivals in the 2m 2f hurdles contest and the EBN commented: “Bonne Eleve went into the 3500m hurdle off the back of a victory over course and distance in May. Settled just behind the leaders for much of the race, Bonne Eleve was always traveling well and moved into the lead around the home turn. A good jump at the final flight took her into a good lead and, despite drifting across the track, she kept on under pressure to hold off Ci Blue.”
Home-bred by Haras de Saint-Voir, Bonne Eleve is trained by Nicolas de Lageneste.
