Caravaggio Yearlings Set To Make A Mark At Goffs

Barronstown Stud yearlings regularly light up the Goffs sale ring and their 2020 Orby consignment includes three from the first crop of top-class sprinter Caravaggio. Lot 214 is a colt out of a half-sister to Horation Nelson, while Lot 227 is a daughter of Group 2 Rockfel Stakes heroine Kitty Matcham (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Lot 415 is a colt from the family of Peeping Fawn.

The Castlebridge Consignment offer a potential star lot by 'the Ballydoyle Bullet' in Lot 259; a brother to top Hong Kong performer Beauty Flame (Footstepsinthesand) (Lot 259). They offer another three by ‘the Ballydoyle Bullet’; a half-brother to Stakes performer Farzeen (Lot 5), a filly out of Group 1 performer Euphrasia (Lot 144) and another out of Group 3 second Hug And A Kiss (Lot 192).

Middlelane Farm have brought just one yearling to Doncaster this week, but their consignment boasts high quality as Lot 252 is a Caravaggio brother to dual Grade 1 winner Wigmore Hall (High Chaparral) and Listed winner Lady Liberty.

Other Caravaggio yearlings with high achieving siblings include Glenvale Stud’s brother to Chesham Stakes victor Suits You (Lot 236), Lodge Park Stud’s half-sister to a Stakes winner (Lot 273) and Marlhill House Stud’s half-sister to a Listed winner, from the family of Soviet Song (Lot 274).

The multiple Stakes-placed Pop Art has a Caravaggio colt selling as Lot 341, while Rockfield Farm consign a filly out of a full-sister to Group 1 winner Offer as Lot 462 and Oaks Farm Stables offer a colt out of Group 3 winner Dress Rehearsal (Lot 116), who has also produced three black-type horses.
