Liva (Champs Elysees) On His Way To Winning The Introductory Juvenile Hurdle At Musselburgh

Classy Juvenile Hurdle Winner for Champs Elysees

Liva (3g Champs Elysees - Resistance Heroine, by Dr Fong) made all to justify favouritism in Monday’s Introductory Juvenile Hurdle at Musselburgh.

Twice a winner on the flat, the Simon Munir and Isaac Souede owned three-year-old made his debut for Donald McCain last month, finishing second in a juvenile hurdle contest. Now stepping up to Class 2 level, he was shaken up by Daryl Jacob after the second last flight and quickened clear, before being eased down close home, with four and a half lengths back to the second horse.

When interviewed after the win, Daryl Jacob said, “You need a very good traveller and a good jumper here and thankfully, that played to his strengths.”
