Competitive Edge's Muy Competitiva Wins In Chile
Competitive Edge registered his second winner in Chile when Muy Competitiva (2f Competitive Edge x She’s a Model, by Dunkirk) broke her maiden impressively at Hipodromo Chile.
Racing over six furlongs on the dirt, the filly raced just behind the leader down the backstretch before making a run for the lead in the turn. By the time the field was in the stretch, Muy Competitiva had the measure of the leader and breezed by with two furlongs left to run.
Jockey Victor Miranda’s only task in the final furlong was to keep his mount focused as she pulled away to win by six lengths in her second start.
Trained by Alejandro Padovani, she is owned by Ortepal and was bred by Haras Convento Viejo in Chile. Muy Competitiva is out of the winning She’s A Model, who is out of Group III winner La Torrosa. This is also the family of Group I winner Domaine and Chilean Champion Pitucaza.
Competitive Edge is proving to be the leading value sire of his crop with 35 winners in eight different countries, including six stakes horses and four stakes winners.
