Flying Dragon (War Command) winning a novice stakes at Sandown

Dragon flies for War Command

Flying Dragon (2c War Command-Histoire De Jouer, by Kaldounevees), who changed hands for £175,000 in the recent Goffs Goodwood Sale, looked a classy performer when winning at Sandown on Wednesday.

Trained by Richard Hannon for Dragon Gate, he came out best in the mile novices’ contest to bring more first-crop success for War Command.

“Always well placed having got across from stall 11, he showed a good attitude late on,” commented the Racing Post.

Flying Dragon was bred in France by Bruno Camus Denais.
