First foal for the excellent miler Excelebration
Triple Gr.1-winner Excelebration (Exceed And Excel) sired his first foal on Thursday night when the Olivier Carli owned Nigh produced a bay colt at Charel Park Stud. Manager Vanessa Teehan described him as “a lovely correct, strong foal with good bone and a classy head.”
The foal is also the first for Nigh who is an unraced Galileo half-sister to the dual Gr.1 winning sprinter Kingsgate Native and will visit the triple Classic winner Camelot this season.
Excelebration was one of Europe’s best milers in recent years and his fee at Coolmore for 2014 is €20,000.
