G3 win for tough Dylan Mouth
Dylan Thomas’s ever-reliable son Dylan Mouth (7h Dylan Thomas-Cottonmouth, by Noverre) added another Group success to his impressive record when landing the G3 Silver Cup at York on Saturday.
There was a 1-2 for Coolmore NH stallions as the Marco Botti-trained winner held off Dal Harraild (5g Champs Elysees-Dalvina, by Grand Lodge) to claim the extended 1m 5f prize.
“Ridden patiently he gets the trip, I don't know if he'd get an awful lot further,” said jockey Dane O’Neill.
Dylan Mouth, bred by Azienda Agricola Mariano, has now won a total of £950,000 in prize money. He has won 14 of his 30 starts and won twice in G1 company when trained in Italy.
