Global Party Newest Winner for Competitive Edge

Competitive Edge continued to make waves on Sunday when Global Party (2c Competitive Edge x Denotation, by Pioneerof The Nile) broke his maiden impressively at Seoul Racecourse in South Korea.

Running over five furlongs on the dirt, Global Party pushed the leader during the early stages of the race before taking charge in the turn. With two furlongs left to run, Global Party had the lead and it was easy work from there with the colt pulling away with every stride. He won by three lengths for trainer Choi Sang Sik and owner Jang Jae Hyeung to become his sire’s 17th worldwide winner.

It was the second start for Global Party, who finished third in his debut over this track and distance in September. Bred by Caveman Stables, he was sold at the OBS April 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale for $50,000 to K.O.I.D. from the Envision Equine consignment earlier this year.

A leading freshman sire this year, Competitive Edge is tied for the most stakes winners of any freshman sire with four to give the sire five stakes horses overall. His stakes winners include Fierce Lady, Majestic Gold, My Italian Rabbi and Sassy Seneca.
