Impressive Belmont Winner for Verrazano

The Chad Brown trained filly Seek and Destroy (2f Verrazano x Search and Seizure, by War Chant) destroyed her rivals at Belmont on Monday bolting away to break her maiden by more than nine lengths.

She led all the way and galloped right away to win as she pleased in the 1 and 1/16th mile maiden at her third start.

A $425,000 Keeneland September Yearling, Seek and Destroy is a half-sister to Grade III winner Tammy the Torpedo and was the fourth highest priced yearling from the first crop of her sire.

Seek and Destroy is the fourth winner for Verrazano, who has three stakes horses to his credit in Stirling Drive, Myhotrodlincoln and King Dilly.
