Impressive Hurdle Success For Son Of Pour Moi

A perfect round of jumping saw Aim For Glory (4g Pour Moi - Triple Axel, by Danehill Dancer) run out an impressive winner of the two mile maiden hurdle at Limerick on Saturday.

Sent off favourite of 14, Donagh Meyler rode the Tom Hogan-trained bay to chase the leaders and improved to dispute the leader from four out. Headed before the last, he soon regained the advantage and kept on well on the flat to score by nine and a half lengths.

A delighted Tom Hogan said after the race, “He is a very nice horse and is still very green and is still learning his trade. I'm delighted to have a nice horse and hopefully he can win a couple of more and can win on the flat as well.”

Hogan trains the winner for Boston-based Terry O’Reilly. Previously placed in a flat maiden, Aim For Glory was bred by Dr Dean Harron and Ederidge Ltd.
