Iva Reflection (Ivawood) winning a maiden at Doncaster

Ivawood Quickly Doubles Up

Just one day after Iva Go (Ivawood) got his Castlehyde Stud sire off the mark, Iva Reflection (2c Ivawood - Mirror Image, by Acclamation) added to the tally when making a successful debut in Saturday’s maiden at Doncaster.

Ridden close to the pace by Jane Elliott, the Tom Dascombe-trained bay gained a slight lead at halfway and was ridden along approaching the final furlong. Driven out, he showed a good attitude to rally when joint-favourite Taxiwala (Holy Roman Emperor) produced a challenge, with the Dascombe representative prevailing by a neck on the line.

Bred by Michael O’Mahony, Iva Reflection was bought by Sackville Donald for £40,000 on behalf of owners the British Racing Club.
