Maximum Security’s Mr. Bogan Romps to Maiden-Breaking Win
Mr. Bogan (2g Maximum Security x Mischievous Lass, by Into Mischief) registered his first career victory at Parx on Wednesday with a 9 ¾ length romp.
Going off as the favorite in the one-mile dirt race, Mr. Bogan was first out of the gate and quickly pulled to a comfortable lead. That lead extended around the track with Mr. Bogan having four lengths on the field going into the final furlong.
Asked for just a little more at that stage, he spurted to a 9 ¾ length win for Josue Arce and Michael Gramiak.
The colt is the first foal out of two-time winner Mischievous Lass. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes winning Shooger Ray Too and Grade III-placed Awesome Boss. Their dam is out of the Grade I winner Jilbab with the family also including champion and Group I winner Ancient World.
This was the ninth winner for Maximum Security, tying him for 12th among all freshmen sires.
