More stakes success for Choisir

Classic-placed Glory Awaits (4c Choisir-Sandbox Two, by Foxhound) brought more black-type victory for Choisir on Saturday when proving too good for his opposition in the City Plate at Chester.

The Kevin Ryan-trained four-year-old, who finished runner-up in the 2013 G1 2,000 Guineas, took the Listed Chester contest comfortably and is set to step up in grade again.

Ryan’s assistant Joe O’Gorman told the Racing Post: “That is fantastic, it is great to see him win again. He was down in grade today in a Listed race and nothing went right yet he still won. He´ll be campaigned in Group races, this was a confidence booster.”
