Pour Moi winning the G1 Epsom Derby

Pour Moi

Pour Moi (3c Montjeu-Gwynn, by Darshaan), brilliant winner of this year's G1 Epsom Derby, has sadly been retired after being injured in training.

The Montjeu colt, who was trained by Andre Fabre for Mrs John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, suffered a severe overreach to his near fore fetlock during exercise at Chantilly on Friday morning.

He will not race again and will retire to Coolmore for the 2012 breeding season.

Pour Moi, who was successful at Longchamp as a two-year-old, also won this season's G2 Prix Greffulhe at Saint-Cloud.
