Pretty Edgy (Competitive Edge) winning at Laurel Park

Pretty Edgy Wins Again for Competitive Edge

Pretty Edgy (3f Competitive Edge x Lily’s Spark, by Mineshaft) registered her third career victory in four starts on Saturday when winning at Laurel Park.

Racing over six furlongs on the dirt, Pretty Edgy immediately entered a duel for the lead and was pressured throughout her run. She gave up the lead by a head at the top of the stretch but quickly rebounded to re-enter the fight and pull away in the final half-furlong.

Crossing the line 1¼ lengths ahead, the filly quickly pricked her ears for the gallop out. Trained by Richard Sillaman for LBR Racing Stables and broke the $50,000 mark with Sunday’s victory.

Pretty Edgy was bred by Aschinger Bloodstock and is the second winner in two days for Competitive Edge.

Pretty Edgy is one of two winners from two starters out of Mineshaft mares with A.P. Indy granddaughters producing 10 of Competitive Edge’s winners, including the stakes winning duo of Sassy Seneca and My Italian Rabbi.

Competitive Edge is among the leading sires of his generation by winners with 46, including four stakes winners and seven stakes horses overall.
