Royal Ascot on cards for Mastercraftsman filly after winning debut
Mastercraftsman had another smart first-crop winner on Saturday when the Marco Botti-trained Rasheeda (2f Mastercraftsman-Violette, by Observatory) made a victorious debut.
The Limestone Stud-filly, from the family of Queen Mary Stakes heroine On Tiptoes, could bid to emulate her relative by trying to score at Royal Ascot with a tilt at the G3 Albany Stakes now possibly on the cards.
“She’s been working nicely so this didn’t come as a big surprise,” Botti told racingpost.com. “I was a bit worried inexperience might prove her undoing but she’s picked up well once the penny has dropped and Luke (Morris) has given her a good ride. I´ll discuss the Albany with the owner and she has the scope to keep progressing through the season.”
