Lot 49 Excelebration ex Wooded Glade colt breezing at Ascot

Sale-topper wins easily for Excelebration

Reloaded (2c Excelebration-Wooded Glade, by Oasis Dream), who topped Ascot’s breeze-up sale in April, proved himself an above-average performer on the track when winning a Pontefract novices’ event on Thursday.

Bought for £120,000 by Alex Elliott, the George Scott-trained son of Excelebration took the six-furlong contest in the style of a colt with better to come.

“We worked Reloaded last week and Silvestre (de Sousa) really liked him. He was disappointing on debut but the ground was way too quick. We'll have some fun with him next year,” said part-owner Keith Breen.

Reloaded (pictured breezing at the Ascot sale) was bred in Ireland by A Techniki.
