Sans Frontieres Conformation 2018

Sans Frontieres Mare Lands Cheltenham Bumper

The Nick Gifford-trained Mystic Dreamer (5m Sans Frontieres - Free Dreamer, by Turtle Island) built on the promise of her debut to win the Mares’ Bumper at Cheltenham on Thursday.

A close second at Ascot in February, she stepped up to two miles and one furlong on her latest start. Ridden towards the back of the field by Leighton Aspell, she made good headway three furlongs from home and produced a serious challenge in the final furlong. Staying on well, she passed the favourite Floressa, a winner last time out, close home to score by a length.

Owned by the Nick Gifford Racing Club, Mystic Dreamer was bred by J Mangan out of a half-sister to Grade 1 Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle winner Minella Class (Oscar) and Grade 1 performer Deputy Dan (Westerner).
