Second Stakes Success for Giant Colt

Promising colt General Jack (3c Giant’s Causeway x J’Ray, by Distant View) added a second Black Type success to his tally when taking out the $204,600 Centaur Stakes at Indiana Grand. The Michael Maker trained colt was tuned up with a last start win at Churchill Downs and coasted home to win this one mile assignment on turf by three lengths. A $200,000 purchase from the Keeneland April 2YO Sale, General Jack runs for Thomas Conway and his trainer. A winner of three of his eight starts with prizemoney topping $235,000, General Jack is the first stakes-winner for Grade II winner J’Ray.
