Liwanu (Excelebration) winning at Compiegne

Smart debut winner for Excelebration

The Ecurie Peregrine bred Liwanu (3c Excelebration ex Lausanne, by Lawman) looks another good prospect for promising young sire Excelebration as he ran out a comfortable winner at Compiegne for Andre Fabre and Mrs Andre Fabre. Sent off the 6-5 favourite, Liwanu was held up towards the rear but comfortably took command entering the last stages, passing the post under a hand ride an authoritative 1¾ length winner. Excelebration had 22 individual first crop 2YO winners in 2016 which bodes well for the future as he himself improved by over 30lbs from 2 to 3 years. A 3-time Gr.1 winning miler, Excelebration is serious value this year at a fee of €10,000.
