Ya Boy Ya (Sans Frontieres) Gains His Second Win

Son Of Sans Frontieres Scores For Father And Son Team

Ya Boy Ya (5g Sans Frontieres - Mountainviewqueen, by Norwich) gained his second win between the flags when beating hot favourite Saint Benedict (Milan) at Ballingarry on Sunday.

Ridden by James Kenny and trained by his father Liam, the bay raced towards the back of the field and improved to take second with two fences left to jump. Staying on well, he led at the final fence and was pushed out to beat the aforementioned favourite by a length and a half.

A four length winner of his maiden at Tyrella in March, Ya Boy Ya followed up with a fine second at Lingstown just a week later and was last seen finishing third at Courtown in April.

Bred by Mrs Breda Spillane, he comes from the first crop of Irish St Leger victor Sans Frontieres, who commands €2,500 at the Beeches Stud. Stand-out performers by the young sire include Clondaw Camp, an impressive winner on debut in the US recently, Cheltenham bumper winner Mystic Dreamer and Donnchadh Doyle’s stylish debut winner Silent Assistant.
