Talented Son Of Walk In The Park Delivers On Chase Debut
Fascile Mode (6g Walk In The Park – C’Est La Mode, by Presenting) dug deep to make a winning start to his chasing career at Punchestown on Wednesday.
Tom Mullins’ useful hurdle was sent off favourite for the Beginners Chase and raced prominently, jumping well throughout under Danny Mullins. The bay was asked to quicken from two out and began to rally gamely when challenged before the final fence. He kept on well on the run-in to prevail by a neck on the line, with the front pair rallying nine lengths clear of the remainder.
“That's what he's made for - he was always a chaser,” the winning trainer commented, before earmarking the Grade 2 Craddockstown Novice Chase as Fascile Mode’s next target.
Owned and bred by Helen Mullins, Fascile Mode is an own-brother to chase winner C’Est Rien (Walk In The Park).
