Two From Two for Pablo

Making it two wins in as many starts at Keeneland on Sunday was impressive colt Pablo Del Monte (2c Giant’s Causeway x One Hot Wish, by Bring the Heat). The Wesley Ward trained colt was fast away as he was when making his debut and quickly shook off all rivals to storm away and win the six and a half furlong contest by more than seven lengths. A homebred for Ward, Pablo Del Monte is the first winner for One Hot Wish, who set a world record for four and a half furlongs when clocking 48.87 at Keeneland when winning by 12 1/4 lengths back in 2007. One Hot Wish has a yearling filly by promising young sire Lookin at Lucky and was bred back to Giant’s Causeway this year.
