War in Command at Book 1

War Command’s first offerings have been popular at the sales in France, Ireland and Japan so far this year and that interest continued at Tattersalls in Britain on Wednesday.

A War Command half-brother to G3 Prix Calvados was snapped up by agent Stephen Hillen for 140,000gns when offered from Timmy Hyde’s Camas Park Stud in Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale.

That followed prices of 8 million Japanese yen for a foal at the JRHA Sale in July and €300,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale.
