$200,000 for High Chaparral Colt

High Chaparral made a splash at the 2012 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale during the third session with a colt from Daramah (NZ) selling for $200,000.

Consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds and sold to leading trainer Mick Price, the colt is the second foal of Daramah, a half-sister to Group II placed Outtalimitz.

“He’s not the sort of High Chaparral you’ll be waiting forever for, so I’d like to think he could be a Caulfield Guineas type colt,” Mick Price told TVN.

“We’ve put together a group of stable clients to race him including his co-breeder Richard Pegum.”
