Talented filly Madam Victoria (3f High Chaparral x Royal Madam, by Personal Escort) was utterly dominant when cruising clear to claim her third Black Type success in the Listed NZB Warstep Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday.
Prepared by Terri Rae, Madam Victoria won the 2000 metre feature by a widening four and a half lengths and has now won five of six starts stamping herself as a filly with a bright future.
She was partnered by Darryl Bradley, who has combined with her to win stakes races at her last three runs.
“I just got beaten in the New Zealand Oaks on Zennista and, while they are different types, I would put this filly in the same class,” Bradley said.
“She’s very exciting and the gears she’s got are unbelievable. She’s done a great job and she is still a little bit on the weak side.”
Bred and raced by former All Black Bevan Wilson and his wife Robyn, Madam Victoria is the best of two winners from Royal Madam, who comes from the family of Group winners Nearly Pal’s and Fazzle.
