NZ Stakes-Winner for Montjeu

Seasoned campaigner Mr Tipsy (7g Montjeu x Fairy Tipsy, by Casual Lies) saluted in the Listed Westbury Stud Karaka Classic at Pukekohe Park in in New Zealand on Sunday.

The Murray Baker trained gelding took the 1600 metre by a short neck, his overall record now nine wins from 29 starts with prizemoney in excess of $441,000.

Placed in the Group I Auckland and Sydney Cups, Mr Tipsy is a handy stayer at his best and looks set for another fruitful preparation.

A $410,000 purchase from the Windsor Park draft at the 2006 NZB Premier Yearling Sale, Mr Tipsy is the from the Group II placed Fairy Tipsy.
