Pierro ex Cats Whisker yearling fill conformation shot

$1.1 Million Filly Stars for Pierro

Leading sire Pierro enjoyed great results at the 2019 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with 11 yearlings averaging $327,273 highlighted by a top class filly from Cats Whisker that fetched $1.1 million.

Consigned by Coolmore, the half-sister to Group I winner Catchy was bred by Joy Jenkins and secured by Orbis Bloodstock.

Cats Whisker has been married to Fastnet Rock since going to stud and this filly represents the first mating to a stallion other than Fastnet Rock, who she is now back in foal to.

Pierro also did well with another filly from Pickin’ Time that made $650,000 for Coolmore when knocked down to Hawkes Racing.
