A recent flurry of stallions cracking their 100th Australian winner for the season include Fastnet Rock and Pierro with So You Think adding his name to the list.
Trained by Bevan Laming, three year-old filly So You Beauty (3f So You Think x Stage Beauty, Desert Prince) by scored a two length win in the 1400 mete maiden at Cranbourne to bring up the milestone for her sire.
A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Southern Cross Breeders draft for her trainer, So You Beauty had been placed five times previously so was overdue for the win.
She is the fifth winner from Stage Beauty, a half-sister to Group II winner I Am a Ripper from the family of High Chaparral’s Group III winners Stampede and Thinkin’ Big as well as So You Think’s stakes-winner Just Thinkin’.
So You Think has had his best ever season with nine stakes-winners among his 100 winners headed by Group I ATC Australian Derby winner Quick Thinker.
So You Think covered his biggest ever book of mares last year (238) and remains at the same fee of $38,500.
