$100,000 for Zoffany Filly

The first crop of Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings by Group I winner Zoffany are making a good impression at Australasian sales with a filly from Larenco proving a very successful pinhook for Curraghmore Stud at the NZB Select Yearling Sale on Wednesday. Purchased originally by Gordon Cunningham for $12,000 at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale, the filly fetched $100,000 to the bid of Patrick Payne/ Woppitt Bloodstock. The lone entry in this sale for her promising young sire, she is the second foal of Encosta de Lago mare Larenco, a daughter of Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks winner La Volta.
