$130,000 for Fastnet Colt

On a tough day of trade, Fastnet Rock provided the highlight during the second session of the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale. Consigned by Coolmore Stud, a smart bay colt from Snake Mary fetched $130,000 to the bid of New Zealand agent Michael Wallace to be the top seller on day two and the second highest priced offering of the sale. He is the first foal of Snake Mary, a full sister to Group II winner French Bid from the family of Group I winners Lachlan River, My Brilliant star, Shot of Thunder and Sudurka. Snake Mary is due to produce her second foal this spring and is in foal to Henrythenavigator.
