A champion on the track and an emerging champion sire So You Think produced the 20th individual million dollar yearling at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when the Segenhoe Stud consigned colt from Martilago sold for $1million on Wednesday.

An athletic scopey colt packed with quality, he was purchased by Ellerslie Lodge Racing Stables
Bred by Segenhoe, he is the fourth foal of blue-blooded Encosta de Lago mare Martilago, a half-sister to Group I winner Charmont, who is by So You Think’s sire High Chaparral.

Martilago is a grand-daughter of Group I winner Champagne from the family of Group I winners St Reims and Bonneval.

Martilago has a colt to follow by Merchant Navy.

The colt is the second million dollar yearling for So You Think, whose colt from Pinocchio made $1.1million at this sale last year.

So You Think finished the sale with 13 yearlings averaging $344,615 with other highlights a colt from Nakataan that made $900,000 for Kia Ora Stud when bought by Hermitage / T Magnier.
