$250,000 So You Think Filly Stars at Inglis Great Southern
The top seller on the second day of the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale in Victoria on Friday was a quality So You Think filly from Blackline that sold for $250,000.
Consigned by Musk Creek Farm and bought as a pinhook prospect by Weanling Solutions, the filly is the first foal of good metropolitan winner Blackline, a half-sister by Blackfriars to stakes-winners Rokanori and Takanori, the dam of stakes-winner Tahitian Dancer.
“She’s a really nice filly by a hot sire who throws especially nice fillies, she’s got a great page and was a great type so she was an obvious buy for us. That said, $250,000 was our last bid,’’ Rob Roulston of Weanling Solutions said.
“It’s been such a strong market, the strongest sale I’ve ever been to. I thought the weanlings in Sydney were strong… but for what was here, it really has been incredibly strong.
“The plan now is to put this filly back through the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale or the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale next year, given her great page and type.’’
