$260,000 So You Think Premier Colt

The progeny of So You Think were in keen demand at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale on Sunday with four youngsters selling for $200,000 or more highlighted by a colt from Explosive Cross that made $260,000 for Tarcoola Stud.

Knocked down to Griffiths de Kock Racing / Peter Ford T'Breds / Heywood Bloodstock, the colt is the third foal of a winning half-sister to stakes-placed Whirlpool and White Diamonds from the family of Group I winner Alfa.

“He was panther like the way he walked, he has a very good rein and is strong over the rear end, just a beautiful horse,” said Ken Williams of Tarcoola Stud.

“It was interesting at the sale, the four bidders on the horse were Wayne Hawkes, Tony McEvoy, Anthony Cummings and Robbie Griffiths, so that says it all.”

Other good sales for So You Think were a colt from Glory Guru that made $240,000 for Mill Park when bought by Brunton Racing and a filly from It’s Our Showtime that made $220,000 for Maluka Thoroughbreds to the bid of Busuttin Racing / Clarke Bloodstock.
