2YO Debut Winner for Pierro
The Lindsay Park Racing team have had an exceptional season with their juveniles and produced another talented debut winner at Geelong on Friday by Golden Slipper winning sire Pierro in Poifect (2f Pierro x Without Exception, by Flying Spur).
Poifect made the perfect start to her career when powering home to win the 1235m maiden by a length and a half.
Winning rider Daniel Stackhouse was well pleased with the filly.
“She’s an impressive filly, she keeps learning all the time when she does something and she’s done a very nice job today,” he said.
“It felt like she had a lot more to offer. I think she can really go on with it and with time might get a bit further. She has a bit of class about her.”
Poifect was a $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Coolmore draft for Lindsay Park Racing and is the third winner from winning Flying Spur mare Without Exception, a sibling to Group III winner Krupt and stakes-winner Anevay tracing back to legendary matriarch Fanfreluche via the Grand Luxe branch of the family.
Without Exception had a filly last year by So You Think and is in foal to Acrobat.
