$300,000 for Fastnet Rock Filly at MM National

The first session of the 2014 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast on Wednesday was topped by a daughter of champion sire Fastnet Rock.

Consigned for sale by Coolmore, the star filly was bought by New Zealanders David Ellis and Jamie Richards for $300,000.

She is the first foal of unraced Galileo mare Dragon’s Tail, who comes from the family of European Group I winner Fly to the Stars.

Dragon’s Tail has a weanling filly to follow by Fastnet Rock and is back in foal to the champion sire.
