$400,000 for Pierro Filly at Karaka

Golden Slipper winner Pierro made a splash at the 2016 NZB Premier Yearling Sale with a lovely filly from Group III winner Musidora selling for $400,000.

Consigned for sale by Curraghmore, the half-sister to this season’s Group III winning three year-old filly Sacred Eye was snapped up by BBA Ireland/ Lindsay Park Racing.

Other good sales for Pierro included $300,000 for a colt from Princess Quality bought by champion trainer Peter Moody and a colt from Stormy Choice bought by Australian Bloodstock/ Kris Lees for $210,000.

Pierro had six yearlings average $207,500.
